(b) Explain what are macros and why these are created in MSExcel. (5)

(c) What are custom controls? Explain their use on the worksheet. Write the sequence of steps to create custom controls. (7)

(d) What is the remainder left after dividing 1! + 2l + 3! + 4l +… + 100! by 7? (5)

(e) What is the importance of “scenario”? Write the step-by-step procedure for creating Scenario. (5)

(f) Explain how does E-mail System work. (3)

2. (a) What is a Pivot Table in Excel? Explain the use of Pivot Table? (4)

(b) What are the different software and hardware components required for Internet? Also, explain the use of differenthardware components. (6)

3. (a) At what time after 4 PM is the minutes hand of a clock exactly aligned with the hour hand? (4)

(b) What is Internet? What do you mean by ISP (lnternet Service Provider)? (3)

(c) Differentiate between relative, absolute and mixed cell reference. (3)

4. (a) Prove that there .is at least one prime number between K2 and (K + 1) 2 for all integers K satisfying (4)

5. (a) Given a 12 liter vessel filled with milk and two empty vessels with capacity of 9 liters and 5 liters. How can you divide the milk into 2 equal portions? Explain and write sequence of steps to solve the problem. (5)

(b) “MS-Excel Solver is a powerful optimisation and resource allocation tool.” Justify the statement. (2)

5. (a) Explain what is firewall. Describe the role of firewall in protecting
network from hackers. (5)

(b) The sum of four numbers A, B, C and D is 110. C is twice A, sum of A and
D is equal to that of B and C and A : B is 3 : 5. Find the value of A, B, C and D.
